Not Sure Which Course You Need?
Still unsure? Call us at 844-402-6012 and we’ll point you to the right course.
I'm a healthcare professional
Your employer or hospital will specify BLS, ACLS, or PALS. BLS is the foundation; ACLS and PALS are advanced and assume BLS-level skills. Renewing? Each course has a shorter renewal option for current cardholders.
I need training for my job
Most workplace and OSHA requirements are met by Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED. If your employer requires only part, choose Heartsaver CPR AED (CPR and AED only) or Heartsaver First Aid (first aid only).
I care for children
Choose Pediatric Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED. Built for childcare workers, teachers, coaches, and parents.

Course Questions
Is BLS the same as CPR?
–
No. CPR is a single skill. BLS, or Basic Life Support, is the American Heart Association provider course built around it for healthcare staff. Most workplaces and childcare staff need a Heartsaver course instead.
Are HeartTraining AHA course completion cards accepted by hospitals and employers?
–
Yes. We are an AHA Authorized Training Center, and our AHA course completion cards meet AHA requirements accepted by hospitals and employers nationwide.
What’s the difference between a Provider course and a Heartsaver® course?
–
Provider courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS) are for healthcare professionals. Heartsaver courses are for people with little or no medical training who need first aid, CPR, or AED skills for work or daily life.
