What the Heartsaver First Aid Course Covers
Heartsaver First Aid is the American Heart Association course that teaches you to assess a scene, control bleeding, and treat shock, burns, and sudden illness until professional help arrives. It is built for the workplace and the public, with no medical background required.

Heartsaver First Aid Questions
Is CPR included in Heartsaver First Aid?
Not by itself. Heartsaver First Aid covers injury and illness response. For first aid plus CPR and AED use, take Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED instead.
Does this course include CPR and AED?
No. This course covers first aid only. If you also need CPR and AED, choose Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED.
Do I need any medical background?
No. Heartsaver courses are built for people with little or no medical training.
