COURSE FORMATS
Three Ways to Train
HeartTraining offers AHA courses in three formats: full in-person classroom, blended (HeartCode®), and self-guided at a CPR Verification Station. Every path includes a hands-on skills session. Classroom courses complete it in class; blended and CPR Verification Station formats complete it at a station with virtual support from a live instructor. Online learning on its own never issues an AHA course completion card.

Format Questions
Can I get an AHA course completion card fully online?
–
No. Every AHA course completion card requires an in-person or voice-assisted manikin skills session with instructor support. Online-only programs cannot issue an AHA course completion card on their own. Blended and HeartCode® courses pair online lessons with that required skills session.
Does online coursework alone meet hospital or job requirements?
–
No. Every AHA course requires a hands-on skills session with an instructor to receive your AHA course completion card. We handle that in person.
What is HeartCode®?
–
HeartCode® is the AHA’s online learning program used in our Blended and Self-Guided formats. You complete interactive online coursework, then validate your skills in person.
